During a fireside chat with SIAM.AI Cloud CEO Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, Huang emphasized the critical role of sovereign AI for Thailand’s future. “The most important part of artificial intelligence is the data.” Huang stated. “And the data of Thailand belongs to the Thai people. The digital data of Thailand encodes the knowledge, the history, the culture, the common sense of your people. It should be harvested by your people.” This message resonated strongly with the audience, highlighting the importance of data ownership and control in the age of AI.
SIAM.AI Cloud to Expand AI Infrastructure with NVIDIA Technology
The event also saw discussions on future investments in AI education and training to drive innovation in areas like weather prediction, climate simulation, and healthcare. SIAM.AI Cloud announced plans to expand its offerings to include NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs and NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips, further strengthening Thailand’s AI infrastructure. NVIDIA’s commitment to Thailand’s AI advancement was underscored by its ongoing collaborations with local universities and startups.

Following his visit to Thailand, Huang traveled to Vietnam, where he met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Cinh and signed an agreement to establish NVIDIA’s first research and development center in the country. This center will focus on software development and collaborate with Vietnamese organizations to accelerate AI adoption.
